The ASTRO ELECTRONIC HEQ-5 conversion kit
  
Um die FS2 an der HEQ-5 Montierung verwenden zu können ist ein kleiner Umbau notwendig. 
An der Montierung wird aussen ein kleiner Alu-Winkel befestigt, der einen Steckverbinder enthält. Hier wird das Kabel zur FS2 angeschlossen.
An den Original-Motoren wir nichts verändert. Die Motor-Steckverbinder werden von der Original-Elektronik getrennt und an den neuen Steckverbinder angeschlossen. Es sind keine Lötarbeiten erforderlich.
 

With this small modification you can use the FS2 with the HEQ-5 mount.
A small aluminium bracket with a connector is attached to the mount. Here you connect the cable which leads to the FS2.
The original motors are not modified. Simply disconnect the motor's cables from the original electronics and plug them to the new connector. There is no soldering required.

Neben dem Umbau-Set benötigen Sie nur noch eine FS2. Die maximale Schwenk-Geschwindigkeit hängt davon ab, welche FS2 Version Sie verwenden:
 
FS2 Version: Schwenk-Geschwindigkeit:
12 Volt 32x = 8°/min
30 Volt 64x = 16°/min
Mit 40V Spannungswandler 80x = 20°/min

Die maximal mögliche Schwenk-Geschwindigkeit hängt auch davon ab, wie gut das Teleskop ausbalanciert ist, wie eng das Spiel zwischen Schnecke und Schneckenrad eingestellt ist, und wie zäh das Fett am Schneckenrad ist (das ist temperaturabhängig). Die oben angegebenen Geschwindigkeiten sind typische Werte, die unter realistischen Bedingungen gelten. Bei optimaler Balance und gut justiertem Spiel kann die maximale Geschwindigkeit bis zu 50% größer eingestellt werden.

With built-in 40V converter 80x = 20°/min

The maximum possible slewing speed does also depend on the balance of the telescope, on the clearance between the worm and worm wheel, and on the viscosity of the grease, which is temperature dependant. The slewing speeds given above are typical values under realistic conditions. With a perfectly balanced telescope and a well adjusted clearance the maximum slewing speed may be adjusted up to 50% higher.
